What do we know about the factions in Ablight?
In the world of Ablight, three prominent factions vie for dominance and survival, each with distinct ideologies, aesthetics, and technological advancements.
The Guardians, often depicted with the color red, embody a steam/dieselpunk ethos, merging Victorian-era industrial machinery with early 20th-century diesel-powered innovations. They are characterized by their robust mechanical constructs, zeppelins, and steam-powered exoskeletons, striving to protect the remnants of civilization from the encroaching darkness. The Guardians' society is a blend of strict hierarchy and communal solidarity, emphasizing both individual heroism and collective effort to maintain order and security.
Contrasting sharply with the Guardians are the Inquisition and the Plagued. The Inquisition, represented by blue and cyan hues, is inspired by medieval themes, embracing a blend of chivalric codes and religious fervor. Their knights clad in ornate armor, wielding swords and shields, are reminiscent of an era where faith and steel were paramount. The Inquisition's society is steeped in tradition, with a strong emphasis on piety, discipline, and martial prowess, aiming to cleanse the world of perceived heresies.
On the other hand, the Plagued, marked by the color purple, delve into a cyberpunk aesthetic, with their futuristic and often dystopian vision. This faction employs advanced cybernetic enhancements, neon-lit cities, and a ruthless, survival-of-the-fittest mentality. Their world is one of high-tech and low-life, where the line between human and machine is increasingly blurred, and where rebellion against oppressive systems is a daily struggle.
